MURFREESBORO, Tenn.--The Bellarmine women's golf team ended its fall season with a 10th place finish at the Music City Invitational hosted by Trevecca Nazarene University on Monday and Tuesday at Old Fort Golf Club.
The Knights posted rounds of 334 and 345 in the 36-hole event. Sophomore
Olivia Pennybaker led the way for Bellarmine with an aggregate score of 166.
The University of Indianapolis romped in the team competition, besting runner-up Carson Newman by 31 shots. The Greyhounds opened with a solid round of 291 and blistered the course with 13-under par score of 275 to close the event. Two UIndy players tied for medalist honors as Pilar Echeverria and Cailyn Henderson both finished at 135 (-9).
Bellarmine now gets a break from competition as the Knights' next tournament will be in the spring. The spring schedule has not yet been announced.
