CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. — The Bellarmine University swimming teams achieved several NCAA B-cut standards on the first day of the four-day Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships.
On Wednesday at the Crawfordsville Aquatic Center, sophomore twins
Daniel Sims and
Matthew Sims both secured B-cuts in the 200 individual medley. Daniel placed seventh with his NCAA B-cut and program record of 1:50.41 coming in the preliminaries. Matthew's NCAA B-cut (1:50.61) came in the finals, where he placed ninth.

Rachel Walker and senior
Grace Roegner finished fourth with an NCAA B-cut and program record 1:42.74.
Walker placed ninth in the 1000 freestyle with an NCAA B-cut 10:18.55, and Roegner placed 11th in the 50 freestyle with an NCAA B-cut 23.91.

Evan Shive (23.38 in the 50 backstroke) also set new program records in their respective legs of the 200 medley relays.
Bellarmine (106) is in sixth on the women's side, where Drury (379) has a slim lead over UIndy (373). The Knights (101) are in eighth on the men's side, where Drury (273) also has a slight edge over UIndy (270).
