RICHMOND, Ky. — Select members of the Bellarmine University track and field teams competed Friday and Saturday in the EKU Rick Erdmann Twilight.
Kade Christopher broke a Bellarmine men's freshman shot put record that had stood since 1976, when Ted Lee had a toss of 13.59 meters. Christopher's record-breaking launch went 13.97.
Freshman
Shomari Rogers-Walton placed first in the 100 (10.89).
Senior
Ally Kluender placed third in the women's hammer throw and discus. Senior
Emily Wiegel finished sixth in the 800, freshman
Avery Hedden was seventh in the 400 followed by sophomore
Katrina Kamarute in eighth, and freshman
Taylor Boggess placed eighth in the 200.
Bellarmine competes Friday and Saturday in the University of Louisville's Lenny Lyles/Clark Wood Open.
