LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Junior Katrina Kamarute captured the gold in a pair of events in leading the Bellarmine University women's track and field team Friday at the Tiger Paw Invitational at Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.

Kamarute placed first in both the 200 (25.80) and 400 (59.06). The Knights had a terrific showing in those two events as, in addition to Kamarute, freshman Chloe Freilinger was the runner-up in the 400 and placed third in the 200.

Junior Jenna Walker earned the silver in the 60 hurdles and placed in the top half of the 21-member long jump in 10th. Sophomore Olivia Brown placed 10th in the 25-competitor 800, and freshman Madison Adkins took 11th in the 32-member mile.

The Knights will compete at Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center for the third straight week when they host the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic on Friday.
