CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Bellarmine University women's tennis team opened the season Friday-Sunday at Chattanooga's UTC Fall Invite.
Bellarmine secured six doubles wins and three singles victories at the event while competing against players from Chattanooga, Jacksonville State and North Alabama.
Sophomore
Vendula Kryslova and freshman
Nikola Kollaritsch went 3-1 together in doubles play to lead Bellarmine. In addition to notching her first career doubles victories, Kollaritsch collected her first career singles win.
Freshmen
Erica Kanna Hagi and
Lillie Willis also tasted victory at the collegiate level for the first time, going 2-1 together in doubles action. Willis registered a singles win as well.
Continuing the theme, freshmen
Marika Caruk and
Jai Garris posted their first collegiate doubles victories. Caruk tallied a singles win as well.
Bellarmine will compete Friday-Sunday in the Middle Tennessee Invite.
