LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Bellarmine University track and field made its final indoor home meet a memorable one.
On Friday in the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic, the Knights swept the 4x400 relays and set numerous program records at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.
The program records that fell were:
- Jackson Gordon broke his own overall and freshman 400 records after placing first in 47.84. Gordon's previous mark was 48.46 at the Jan. 23 Cardinal Classic.
- Paul Stamm broke his own overall and freshman 3000 records after finishing in 8:14.01 and placing fourth in the exclusive "3000 Invite." Stamm's previous mark was 8:19.60 at the Cardinal Classic.
- Sophomore Trevor Holbrook took down a program record in the 200 that had been held by William Saucer since 2011. Holbrook's 22.11, good for fourth place, bested Saucer's longstanding 22.26.
- Holbrook, junior Ike Boling, senior Ryan Hawkins and Gordon set a new record in the 4x400 relay after placing first in 3:15.65. Jared Findlater, Nate McKinney, Damar Williams and Sean Klosterman had held the previous record (3:17.45) since 2013.

Chloe Freilinger seized first in the women's event in 3:48.92.
In the men's 3000 open, junior
Nick Lewis placed first in 8:18.15, which set a new program record until Stamm's performance. The Knights had five top-20 finishes in the 76-member event, as freshman
Chase Atkins followed Lewis in sixth, sophomore
Ryan Burchett was 14th, sophomore
Jackson Gawarecki was 18th and sophomore
Hunter Griffin was 20th.
Freshman
Sloan Cox once again took top honors in the shot put (16.55), while freshman
Alex Cole was 10th in the weight throw. Boling followed Holbrook in 16th in the 45-member 200, and senior
Tristan Backer was 17th in the 45-member 800.
Freilinger and Kamarute captured ninth and 16th, respectively, in the 60-member women's 200. The Knights delivered three top-15 performances in the 60-member mile, as senior
Emma Wells placed 10th, senior
Ellie Schroeder was 11th and senior
Anna Wells was 13th.
Slaughter placed 13th of 33 in the long jump, and senior
Jenna Walker was 17th of 43 in the 60 hurdles.
Bellarmine's final regular-season meet will be Friday and Saturday in the GVSU Big Meet at Grand Valley State University.
