JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Bellarmine University sophomore
Chloe Freilinger and freshman
Jackson Gordon repeated as silver medalists in their respective 400-meter race, duplicating the feat at the ASUN Outdoor Championships on Saturday at North Florida's Hodges Stadium after previously earning runner-up honors at the indoor conference meet.
On the final day of the meet, both Freilinger and Gordon pulled in eight points for their respective second-team ASUN All-Conference performances.
Bellarmine's men racked up 13 points in the 400 alone. In addition to Gordon, junior
Ike Boling earned four with a fifth-place finish while sophomore
Trevor Holbrook added another point after placing eighth.
Freshman
Zander Hooten scored in both the 110 and 400 hurdles, placing fourth (five points) in the former and sixth (three points) in the latter. Senior
Jenna Walker also scored on the women's side in the 100 hurdles after placing sixth (three points).
Freshman
Avery Koch notched a point in the women's shot put after placing eighth.
The 4x400 relay team of Holbrook, Boling, senior
Ryan Hawkins and Gordon barely missed the bronze after placing fourth.
Liberty swept the team titles, with 278 points on the men's side and 221.5 on the women's. Bellarmine's men (33 points) placed seventh of eight, while the Knights women (17) were 10th of 11.
