LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Bellarmine University track and field competed Friday and Saturday in the University of Louisville's PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.
Junior
Naimah Slaughter set a new women's program record in the pentathlon after compiling 3269 points, which bested the 3187 of Sarah McMurchie from the 2019 GLVC Indoor Championships. Slaughter won the pentathlon high jump, set personal bests in three of five events and placed seventh of 16.
Sophomore
Jackson Gordon and junior
Chloe Freilinger both competed in their respective seeded 400. Gordon placed fifth of 13 and Freilinger took seventh of 16. Sophomore
Jansen Story, Slaughter, freshman
Raven Payne and Freilinger powered to fourth of 17 in the 4x400 relay. Freilinger also placed 11th of 40 in the 800.
Sophomore
Zac Hutslar placed in the top half of the 60 (13th), the 200 (13th) and long jump (ninth), as did sophomore
Alysia Hurtado in the weight throw (12th) and shot put (14th).
The Knights will host the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic on Friday.
