GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Bellarmine University track and field medaled in four events and the Knights men set three new program records Saturday at the ASUN Indoor Championship at the Alachua County Sports and Events Center.
On the second and final day of the conference meet, both Bellarmine 4x400 relay teams earned medals. Freshman
Carter Olmsted, sophomore
Zander Hooten, senior
Ike Boling and sophomore
Jackson Gordon took the silver (8 pts) in 3:14.91, which bested the previous men's program record of 3:15.65 at the 2023 PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic recorded by Boling, Gordon,
Trevor Holbrook and
Ryan Hawkins.
Junior

Jansen Story and junior
Chloe Freilinger earned a bronze medal (6 pts) in the women's 4x400 relay. Freilinger also scored in the 400 after placing fourth (5 pts).
Hooten and Gordon both secured two silver medals. Hooten was the runner-up in the 60 hurdles in a program-record 8.06, which topped Seth Sigler's longstanding 8.08 from the 2012 DePauw Tiger Invitational. Hooten collected eight points in the event and Olmsted registered two after placing seventh.
Gordon was the runner-up in the 400. In addition to his eight points, Boling brought in four after finishing fifth.
Sophomore
Chase Atkins placed sixth (3 pts) in the 3000 in a program-record 8:10.87, which bested
Paul Stamm's 8:14.01 from the 2023 PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic. Sophomore
Alex Hooten scored in the 800 after finishing fifth (4 pts).
Bellarmine's men placed sixth with 45 points and the women ninth with 17 points. Kennesaw State handily swept the team titles.
