SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. – The Bellarmine University women's golf team completed their third round of action at the Cardinal Cup Sunday afternoon at the University of Louisville Golf Club.
The Knights finished 15
th in the field of 15.
"We loved the opportunity to play in a high-profile event with some very tough competition," said head coach
Art Henry. "We have a pretty young team and showed our inexperience with some nervous play. But, on the positive side, we improved score-wise every day and gained confidence in our ability to compete."
Rozlyn Rooke was the Knights' top finisher, placing 52
nd in the field of 84 at plus-17.
Presli Webb finished one stroke behind Rooke and tied for 53
rd.
Middle Tennessee took the team medal at plus-16 while host Louisville tied for fourth at plus-21. Fellow ASUN teams Eastern Kentucky and Lipscomb finished 10
th and 11
th, respectively.
Western Kentucky's Catie Craig claimed medalist honors at minus-3, two strokes better than Louisville's Carmen Griffiths and Rutgers' Grace Lu at minus-1.

The Knights will have a couple of weeks off before heading up I-65 to Indianapolis for the Butler Fall Invitational at Highland Golf & Country Club on September 30 and October 1.
"We're pretty pumped to get back to tournament play in a couple of weeks," Henry concluded.
