Box Score CULLOWHEE, N.C. – The Bellarmine University women's tennis opened the fall portion of its 2024-25 season this past weekend, competing against Western Carolina, Gardner-Webb and Emory University at the WCU Fall Invite.
The Knights excelled on the doubles courts, going 6-2 over two days of action. On Saturday, Bellarmine split two doubles matches with WCU, going 1-1, before sweeping Gardner-Webb 3-0. On Sunday, the Knights pulled out another winning record against Emory, going 2-1 in the session. The senior duo

Shu Grosso led the Knights effort with two wins each. Sophomore

Reese Parker went 1-0 as a duo while Caruk and Willis paired up for a duos win as well.
In singles play, Grosso earned top billing for the Knights, going 2-0 after getting wins over Gardner-Webb and Western Carolina. Willis also notched two singles wins, going 2-1 with wins over Emory and Western Carolina. Parker provided the only other win for Bellarmine in singles play, topping her Western Carolina opponent.
The Knights will conclude their fall schedule when they travel to Chattanooga, TN to compete in the UT Chattanooga Invite. The event will begin on Friday, November 8 and conclude on Sunday, November 10.
