LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two men's program records fell as select members of Bellarmine University track and field competed last week in Azusa Pacific's Bryan Clay Invitational.
Senior
Nolan Hester took down a program record in the 1500 that had stood a dozen years when he clocked a 3:48.18, besting Robert Sandlin's 3:48.42 from the 2013 Bellarmine Classic.
Junior
Chase Atkins broke his own program record in the 5000 after finishing seventh in his heat in 14:05.93, which improved upon the 14:07.09 he delivered at the 2024 iteration of the Bryan Clay Invitational.
At Indiana State's Gibson Invitational, junior
Zander Hooten earned a top 10 in the 400 hurdles after placing ninth in 55.81.
Bellarmine will compete Friday and Saturday in the University of Louisville's Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational.
