LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine University women's basketball team will conclude the regular season this week with a 7 p.m. ET (6 CT) contest Wednesday at Lipscomb followed by a 7 p.m. showdown Friday at Atlantic Sun Conference leader Eastern Kentucky.

ABOUT LIPSCOMB
Lipscomb's most recent win was a 74-44 road victory over Bellarmine on Feb. 12. Since then, the Bisons (9-18, 6-10 ASUN) have lost three straight, including a 66-65 overtime loss at home to West Georgia and a 68-63 setback at North Alabama last week. Freshman guard Hope Counts and junior guard McKayla Miller rank first and third, respectively, in the ASUN in total blocks with 72 and 43. Guard Molly Heard is the conference leader in total steals (63) and is tied for third in scoring (14.4). Miller ranks 14th in the league in scoring (12.2).

ABOUT EASTERN KENTUCKY
Eastern Kentucky (22-7, 13-3) is looking to secure an outright ASUN regular season title this week. With two contests left, the Colonels hold a one-game lead over Jacksonville. EKU can clinch at least a share of the championship with a victory Wednesday at Austin Peay. All three of the Colonels' conference losses have come over the last four games, including last week's 69-63 setback at FGCU followed by a 69-54 defeat at the hands of Stetson. EKU remains the ASUN leader in scoring (72.9), free throw percentage (74.2) and assists (15.5) while ranking second in field goal percentage defense (37.4). Forward Joseana Vaz ranks fifth in the ASUN in scoring (14.3) while guard Liz Freihofer is 13th (12.6). Guard Althea Kara Angeles is tied for second in assists (4.0).

KNIGHTS NOTES
• Lipscomb holds a 7-3 lead over Bellarmine in series history. The Bisons are 4-1 against BU in Nashville, but the Knights did triumph in last season's meeting in Music City, 86-79.
• In the teams' first clash this season, three players scored in double figures for Bellarmine (2-27, 0-16), with sophomore forward Kayce Hyman posting 13 points, sophomore guard Ava Smith notching 12 and redshirt junior forward Andrea Chiquemba adding 10. Chiquemba recorded her first double-double as a Knight after complementing her 10 points with 10 rebounds.
• EKU holds a 13-3 series lead over Bellarmine, including a 90-46 win in Louisville on Jan. 17.
• Due to an epidemic of injuries, Bellarmine has competed with as few as six players and no more than 11 in each of the last 24 games. The late January/February numbers have only increased due to the addition of several walk-ons. On Saturday against Austin Peay, the Knights competed with three scholarship players and five January walk-ons.
• Smith paced Bellarmine with 15 points Saturday against Austin Peay after posting a team-best 22 against North Alabama. She's scored in double figures in five straight games and in eight of the last 10. Her scoring average has now hit double digits at 10.0 points per game. Smith is tied for sixth in the ASUN in 3-pointers made with 52.
• Chiquemba tallied 13 points against Austin Peay, her third double-figure outing in the last four games. She's cracked double digits in the scoring column six times overall in ASUN play.
• Hyman is averaging a team-high 12.2 points per game in ASUN action. The sophomore forward has scored in double figures in nine of the last 11 games, with five performances of 15 points or more. Among qualifiers, Hyman ranks seventh in the ASUN in FT percentage (77.7), sixth in FTs made (87) and eighth in FTs attempted (112).
• January walk-on Olivia Pifer is averaging 28.1 minutes per game. Despite being 5-4, the freshman guard has collected three rebounds or more in 12 of her 14 games. She also has a pair of four-steal games (vs. EKU and Jacksonville).
