JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Three Bellarmine University lacrosse players garnered second-team All-ASUN accolades while two Knights were named to the ASUN All-Freshman Team and six were recognized on the Academic All-ASUN Team, the league office announced Wednesday.

John Alie hauled in his third straight All-ASUN laurel. The native of Aurora, Colorado, finished the regular season as the national leader in total points (75) while ranking fourth in the country in total goals (47), 10th in goals per game (2.94), 14th in points per game (4.69) and tied for 19th in total assists (28). He was top 5 in the ASUN in all those categories. Alie amassed 10 hat tricks on the year.
After being an ASUN All-Freshman Team recipient last season, Moore wrangled his first All-ASUN acknowledgment. At the end of the regular season, the native of Roswell, Georgia, ranked second in the nation in total assists (43) and total points (72), was sixth in assists per game (2.69) and was 16th in points per game (4.50). He was the ASUN leader in total assists and assists per game. Moore registered six hat tricks and distributed three assists or more eight times.
In his final season, Blaymires garnered his first All-ASUN recognition. The native of Guelph, Ontario, Canada, ranked fourth on the team in goals (18) and points (21) with a team-best .800 shot on goal percentage. Blaymires recorded hat tricks against Marquette and Air Force and posted four other two-goal games.
In his debut season, Fischel appeared in all 16 games while supplying eight goals and five assists. The native of Barrington, Illinois, netted a season-high two goals against current No. 1 Notre Dame and tallied one in six other games. The midfielder had a season-best two assists against Robert Morris.
O'Rourke's inaugural year with Bellarmine included appearances in 15 games. The native of Fishers, Indiana, ranked second on the Knights with 10 caused turnovers. The defenseman collected 16 ground balls and notched three goals.
A maximum of six student-athletes per team were eligible for inclusion on the Academic All-ASUN Team. The primary criteria for undergraduates are a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA, participated in at least 50 percent of contests during the season, have completed four semesters of college coursework or 50 percent of progress toward a degree, and have one year of residence at the institution.
The ASUN superlative awards went to: Utah's Ryan Stines (Offensive Player of the Year); Utah's Nikko DiPonio (Defensive Player of the Year); Jacksonville's Drew Rippeon (Specialist of the Year); Jacksonville's Zane Czeschin (Freshman of the Year); and Air Force's Bill Wilson and Jacksonville's John Galloway (co-Coaches of the Year).
