LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Bellarmine University men's tennis team went 1-1 over the weekend, falling to Wayne State on Saturday and knocking off Brescia University on Sunday.

The Knights fell to Wayne State in their 2010 spring tennis opener in Indianapolis last Saturday. Junior Paul Clark won his singles match against Wayne State tennis player Britton Steele 7-5, 7-6 for Bellarmine's lone victory against a stout Warrior team.

All four seniors picked up victories as the Knights rolled Brescia University 8-1 and climbed to 2-1 for the season. Five of the six singles matches were won in two sets while one doubles match went into extra points with BU prevailing 10-8.
“We played very well against a solid Brescia team,” Coach Todd Murphy said after the match, “This was an impressive win, and I am very happy with our effort after coming off a loss like yesterday.”
