ST. CATHARINE, Ky.--The Bellarmine University men's tennis team played its first and only dual match of the fall on Friday, Oct. 18, falling 5-3 to St. Catharine College with the No. 4 singles match suspended due to darkness.

The Knights fell behind 2-1 after the doubles portion, and couldn't make up the ground in the singles as Zachary Kuo had to retire due to injury in a close No. 1 singles match.  Kuo and SCC's Andre Jacomini split the first two sets and Jacomini had a slim 3-2 edge in the third when Kuo was forced to retire.

Bellarmine also lost an opportunity for another point when the match between BU's Logan Knott and SCC's Felipe Barrientos was suspended due to darkness after each player had won a set. 

The Knights got points from Chib Jabaley at No. 5 singles and Alex Swords at No. 6 singles with Knnott teaming with Jimmy Fernandez to register an 8-0 win in No. 3 doubles.
