LOUISVILLE, Ky.--The Bellarmine men's and women's tennis teams both posted victories over the visiting Centre College Colonels today at Bellarmine's Sport, Recreation and Fitness Center.
The Bellarmine men's and women's tennis teams both took care of business today at the home indoor courts winning 17 of the 18 matches played with the only loss coming in a third set tie-break.
"Even though we won almost all the matches I really have to give Centre credit for the way they fought hard to the very end in everyone of the matches," said Bellarmine Coach
John Mican. "Judging by the amount of ice the players used after the match, you could tell that we had to hit a ton of shots to earn the victory."
The Knights are a combined 9-1 in the month of February with the only setback being the women losing against Division 1 Western Kentucky University in their first match of the year.
The men will close out the indoor season with a tough test against The University of Alabama at Huntsville on Sunday at the SuRF beginning at 11 a.m.
