LOUISVILLE, Ky.--The Bellarmine University men's tennis team got their spring 2014 campaign off on a winning note on Saturday at home with a 7-2 victory over the Georgetown Tigers. 

The match featured the first college wins in a dual match by freshmen Zachary Kuo and Jose Legarreta, who combined for a win at number two doubles and also won their matches at No. 1 and No. 2 singles.  Juniors Logan Knott and Jimmy Fernandez also earned three points for the Knights with a win at the three doubles spot and singles wins at four and five.  Chip Jabaley closed out the scoring for BU with a 7-5, 6-1 win in the sixth singles spot. 

"Georgetown has some really talented players so we had to work hard for this victory," said Bellarmine Coach John Mican.  "I can't say enough about how well we competed,  especially the two new players at the top of the line-up."
