LOUISVILLE, Ky.--The Bellarmine men's tennis team started a busy weekend with an early evening dual match with the Tiffin Dragons at the Bellarmine Sport, Recreation and Fitness Center. The visitors got off to a quick 2-1 start in doubles, then carried the momentum into singles for a 6-3 win.

"Although we didn't play our best tennis today, every one of the guys gave a great effort," said Bellarmine Coach John Mican.  He added, "It was a good early test for us against a strong squad, and this match will motivate us to work even harder.  We know that if we had played better in a few areas the match outcome might have been different."

Jimmy Fernandez and Logan Knott continued their winning ways, securing the Knights points at number three doubles and numbers five and six singles.

Bellarmine has a short turnaround with another home match Saturday at 9 a.m. against Western Kentucky University.
