Knights roll past Grenadiers

NEW ALBANY, Ind. -- The Bellarmine University men's tennis team wrapped up their season with an 8-1 win over Indiana University Southeast on Wednesday afternoon in New Albany, Ind.

"Although we swept the doubles matches we still had to work hard as the IUS squad refused to give up," said head coach John Mican.

Freshmen Zachary Kuo and Jose Legarreta teamed together for a doubles win and won their singles matches at one and two positions. Kuo finished up the season on a tear, winning his final six matches and Legarreta won five of his last six contests.

"The play of our freshmen has certainly been a bright spot this year. Zachary and Jose along with fellow freshman Alex Swords give us a solid foundation to build upon," said Mican.

The Knights finished their season with a 7-11 overall record and 1-5 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
