Bellarmine falls 1-8 to Indianapolis

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Bellarmine University men's tennis team fell 1-8 to the No. 31 University of Indianapolis Greyhounds in Great Lakes Valley Conference action on Friday afternoon at the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex.

The men keep things interesting by taking the number two doubles match. However, the Knights couldn't match the firepower of the Greyhounds in singles despite some great individual efforts, especially by Zachary Kuo at the number two singles spot and Jimmy Fernandez at four.

"Indianapolis was certainly the better team today but we will regroup in a hurry and give it everything we have against Lewis on Saturday," said head coach John Mican.

With the loss, Bellarmine falls to 6-7 overall and 1-2 in the GLVC.

The Knights welcome the Lewis University Flyers for senior day in a conference clash on Saturday, April 5. Senior festivities will take place prior to the match at 10 a.m.
