HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The visiting Bellarmine University men's tennis team was edged 3-4 by Alabama A&M on Wednesday.
Playing in a Division I format where one point was awarded to the majority winner in doubles play, Bellarmine (3-6) earned the doubles point after victories by seniors
Jose Legarreta and
Zachary Kuo at No. 1 and senior
Alex Swords and junior
Matthew Momper at No. 2.
Legarreta notched another win, this time at No. 1 singles, and freshman
Andrew Jones was victorious at No. 5, but Alabama A&M won the other four singles matches to capture the win.
Bellarmine plays Thursday at North Alabama.
