JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Bellarmine University's
John Alie has been recognized as the ASUN Offensive Player of the Week for lacrosse, the league announced Monday.
In last week's action, the senior attack became the program's all-time leader in career goals after tallying two at No. 7 Notre Dame. The native of Aurora, Colorado, followed with a five-goal outburst in a 16-9 road win over Detroit Mercy.
The latter was a season high for Alie, who has four hat tricks on the year. In addition to a pair of goals against the Fighting Irish, he distributed a season-high four assists.
Alie is the ASUN leader in total goals (17) and total points (29) while ranking second in total assists (12). His program record for career goals now stands at 119.
This is the seventh ASUN weekly honor of Alie's career.
